John Murdock ‘Jackie’ MacKinnon

Funeral service for the late John Murdock ‘Jackie’ MacKinnon, 73, Deepdale, was held March 2 in St. John’s United Church, Strathlorne, with Pastor Maggie Plant celebrating. Burial will be held at a later date. Mr. MacKinnon died February 24, 2019, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born April 12, 1945, he was a son of the late Neil and Jessie (Fraser) MacKinnon. He was knowledgeable about family facts and history. He loved the outdoors and animals, which he passed along to his three granddaughters. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; two sons, Bernie (Melissa), Bruce; daughter, Brenda (Bobby); three grandchildren, Chrissy and Cassie MacKinnon, Maria MacLeod; two brothers, D.R. (Kaye) MacKinnon, Neil ‘Sonny’ Fraser; two sisters, Jean MacLean, Margaret-anne (Bruce) Publicover; brother-in–law, Robert Middaugh; sister-in-law, Rose MacKinnon. He was predeceased by a daughter, in infancy; brother, Lauchie Charles; sister, Lorraine Middaugh; sister-in-law, Ann Fraser.
