Kenneth Joseph Fougere

Kenneth Joseph Fougere died December 25, 2018. His career as a chief marine engineer brought him all over the world, but he had found a ‘home away from home’ with Northumberland Ferries Ltd. and the co-workers he was honoured to call his friends. Prior to this career move, he spent many years in the offshore industry and as an instructor at the Nova Scotia Community College Strait Area Campus in Port Hawkesbury. Known as ‘The Chief’ to those who knew him best, he was a lover of antique cars. He could be found on a beautiful day cruising in his beloved 1972 Red Chevelle SS or sitting in his garage with the door open, an invitation for a drop in and chat. He had many accomplishments, but his greatest vision was in the co-founding and development of the beautiful subdivision Southern Comfort on Grand Lake, Arichat. He is survived by his wife, June; two sons, Colton, Lance; three sisters, Viola, Melita (Gordon), Judy; sister-in-law, Stella; godson, Logan. He was predeceased by his father, Wallace; mother, Anna; brother, Joe. Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Strait Richmond Hospital. Online condolences: www.chboudreau.com
