Laurie Ann Samson

Funeral service for the late Laurie Ann Samson, 51, Arichat, was held March 1 in St. Joseph’s Church, Petit de Grat with Father Michel Exalant officiating. Burial will be held in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat, at a later date. Mrs. Samson died February 22, 2019. Born November 7, 1967, in Antigonish, she was the daughter of Joseph Omer and Mary Evelyn (Samson) Samson, Petit de Grat. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish Catholic Women’s League. She loved her school family and creating new projects for the library. She had a big imagination and enjoyed writing children’s books. She also enjoyed spending time out on the boat. Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband of 20 years, Joseph Donald ‘Donnie’; two sons, Daniel (Amy) Samson, Louisdale; DJ Samson, Arichat; goddaughter, who was like a daughter to her, Adrianna Samson, Halifax; sister, Maria (James) Goyetche, Petit de Grat; four brothers, Wade (Denise), Louisdale; Neil (Jalna), Shawn, both of Petit de Grat; Jamie (Denise), Heatherton; godson, Daylan Samson, Fort McMurray; six nieces and nephews Daniel Samson, Fort McMurray; Renée Samson, Louisdale; Kamryn and Marissa Samson, Petit de Grat; Bailey and Carly Samson, Heatherton.
