LILLIAN LOLA CARROLL

Funeral service for the late Lillian Lola Carroll, 81, Sherbrooke, was held June 3 in St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Sherbrooke, with Father Lazarus Guria officiating. Burial was in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Stillwater. Mrs. Carroll died May 30, 2019, in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke. Born in Sherbrooke, she was a daughter of the late John and Edith (Cook) Laing. She was widowed at the age of 40 and worked at Anderson’s Store for 31 years. She loved to sew and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by son, Farlie (Laura), Sherbrooke; daughter, Cindy (Buddy) Cook, Sherbrooke; daughter-in-law, Sherry Lynn Vasil, Antigonish; four grandchildren, Tanya (Brian), Robert (Holly), Courtney (Kevin), Lisa (Michael); three great-grandchildren, Lilly, Aaron, Kenzie; brother, Lloyd Laing, Riverton; two sisters, Lorna Hiltz, Port Bickerton; Lorraine (Gerald) Pottie, Grand Lake; sister-in-law, Ola Laing, Sherbrooke; many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; great-grandson, Leo Cook; brother, Jack Laing; brother-in-law, Billy Hiltz; sister-in-law, Theresa Laing.
