LORNA JUANITA CASHIN

A graveside service for the late Lorna Juanita Cashin, 68, Port Felix, Guysborough County, was held September 14 in St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery, Port Felix, with Sister Florence MacKenzie officiating.

Mrs. Cashin died September 4, 2019, at home.

Born in Charlos Cove, she was a daughter of the late John and Lena (Casey) Doiron. She was a hard worker, a published author of a book of poetry, worked at Sea Freeze Fish Plant, Canso, a school custodian, and fished with her husband until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherrylynn Cashin (Scott MacDonnell), Truro; grandson, Devin Cashin (Amanda Isenor); two sisters, Shirley (Joe) Pettipas; Bertha Doiron; two brothers, Frank (Marilyn) Doiron, Kenneth (Eileen) Doiron; many nieces,  nephews and their families. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Roddie; sister, Rita; two brothers, Russell, Emmie.
