Maizie Ann Matheson
Maizie Ann Matheson, 82, Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home, formerly of Petit de Grat, died December 17, 2018, in the home.
Born November 1, 1936, in Truro, she was adopted by the late Willie Joseph and Bertha May Samson. She enjoyed playing Bingo and scratch tickets. She enjoyed walking, one of her favorite stops was the Fleur de Lis Restaurant, where she enjoyed meeting up with some of the many people she knew. She was a resident of Sunset Manor for 14 years. For the last year, she was a resident of the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home.
She is survived by three children, Thrina (Sylvie), Edmundston, New Brunswick; Bernice Fougere, Petit de Grat; Leroy (Linda), D’Escousse; nine grandchildren, April (Jay Kehoe), Chantelle, Lindsey (Michael Stone), Joe (Madison Armstrong), Kayla, Kimberly (Mark Skinner), Kayle (Glen Mauger), Cody, Paul Ross; 12 great-grandchildren, Konor, Andrew, Aiden, Jacob, Karter, Emma, Bradley, Wyatt, Joshua, Alyssa, Keelan, Klayton; son-in-law, Earl Gibson.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Jean Ross; son-in-law, Walter Fougere; grandson-in-law, John Hinkley.
