Funeral service for the late Margaret Ann Cogger, 92, South River Road, Antigonish, was held June 18 in St. Ninian Cathedral with Father Donald MacGillivray officiating. Burial was in St. Ninian Cemetery. Mrs. Cogger died June 14, 2018, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Reader at the funeral Mass was Linda MacGillivary. Music was provided by Emery van de Weil. Pallbearers were Ralph Levangie, Dwayne Cogger, Geordie Levangie, Kurt Benoit, Seward Levangie and Kyle Boudreau. Born May 7, 1926, in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late John Alex and Christina (MacLean) MacKenzie. She worked as a short order cook at the Barra One Restaurant and in the priests dining room at St. F.X. University. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards. She is survived by daughter, Joan (Cogger) Benoit, Antigonish; three grandchildren, Dwayne (Connie) Cogger, Lori (Kenneth) Boudreau, Kurt (Kassie) Benoit; two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Colton Boudreau; brother, Raymond MacKenzie, Antigonish; sister, Dorothy MacKenzie, Prince Edward Island. She was predeceased by her husband, William John; daughter, Carolyn DeCoste; two sisters, Mary, Josie; four brothers, Billy, Johnny, Ralph, Gordie.
