MARGARET LOUISE HORNE

Funeral service for the late Margaret Louise ‘Mag’ Horne, 99, Little Dover, was held January 4 in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover, with Father Charles Cameron officiating. Burial was in St. Agnes Parish Cemetery.

Mrs. Horne died December 31 in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough.

Born in Little Dover, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Katie (David) Haines. During her working years, she was a store/business owner and also worked at the Scotia Restaurant and Canso Fish Plant. She enjoyed bingo and playing cards at the local card plays. She was a member of St. Agnes Parish, Little Dover.

She is survived by two sons, Winslow (Beatrice), Little Dover; Emery (Donna), Beaver Bank; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; five brothers, Duffield (Rhoda), Tom (late Beatrice), Lloyd (late Irene), Ronnie (Peggy), Manzer (Anna); three sisters, Isabel (late Clarence), Tina (late John), Garnet (Gordon); many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Isaac Horne; two sons, Murray and Brantford; two brothers, John (Rose), Mac; two sisters, Leona (Ellsworth), Amanda (Lawson).

Memorial donations may be made to St. Agnes Parish.
