Funeral service for the late Anna Katherine Marie ‘Wee Wee’ Crispo, 91, was held July 30 in St. Peter’s Church, Tracadie, Antigonish County, with Father John Barry officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Crispo died July 23, 2018. Readers at the funeral Mass were Catherine Cameron and Beverly Crispo. Nikita Bowie, Vanessa Crispo and Pamela Cameron presented the offertory gifts. Music was provided by Ty Wallace. Active pallbearers were Greg DeCoste, Gerald Pushie, Russell Hart, George Bowie, Bill Monaghan and Francis Brown. Honorary pallbearers were Pierre Julien, Joey MacLean, Scott Cummings, Gerard MacKay, Gerald DeCoste, Isabelle Morris and Aloysius Fitzpatrick. Born August 8, 1926, in Stellarton, she was the eldest daughter of the late Bernard and Theresa (Lewis) MacGillivray. She spent her years raising 12 children and welcoming the abundance of family and friends who arrived at her door. Her homemade bread, a game of crib at the kitchen table and the strong tea steeping on the stove were guaranteed for all who visited. She enjoyed pink peppermint candy, Coronation Street and a Habs game. She was a member of St. Peter’s Parish for 70 years. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Cotie (Aloysius Fitzpatrick), Monastery; Catherine Cameron, Antigonish; Bernadette Feltmate (George Bowie), Antigonish; two sons, John (Karen), Monastery; Robert (Melinda Crane), Antigonish; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (Heather), Jimmy, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, James Bernard; seven children, Beverly, Gregory, Marilyn, Mickey, Jimmy, Viola, Theresa; four sisters, Helen Rogers, Lois Monaghan, Joan Pearcey, Diane Jesty; five brothers, Mickey, Joe, Gerard, Gerry, one, in infancy.
