Marjorie Mary Young

Funeral service for the late Marjorie Mary Young, 88, D’Escousse, was held September 15 in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat, with Father Michel Exalant officiating. Burial was in St. Hyacinth Cemetery, D’Escousse. Mrs. Young died September 12, 2018, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born September 17, 1929, in Poulamon, she was the daughter of the late Phillibert and Lillian (Fougere) Fougere. She was a member of the Civic Improvement Society, D’Escousse. She was an avid card player, starting at the age of 13 playing in Poulamon and surrounding areas. She enjoyed gardening, feeding, watching and learning about birds. She is survived by three daughters, Myrtle Young, D’Escousse; Linda Sampson (Felix), Ontario; Susan Young, Halifax; seven grandchildren Darcelle, Danielle, Genelle, Adelle, Lori, Todd, Hali; six great-grandchildren, Quinn, Mason, Felix, Xavier, Austin, Camren; two step great-grandchildren, Emma, Logan; sister, Leona Durant, Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Edgar; son-in-law, Paul Gould. Memorial donations may be made to Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society or St. Hyacinth Cemetery Fund, D’Escousse.
