Funeral service for the late Mary Bernadette ‘Bee’ (Crispo) Feltmate, 60, Antigonish, was held May 4 in St. Ninian Cathedral, Antigonish, with Father Donald MacGillivray officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Tracadie at a later date. Mrs. Feltmate died April 30, 2019. Readers at the funeral Mass were Catherine Cameron and Beverly Crispo. Music was provided by Tyrus Wallace and Yvonne Vromans. Active pallbearers were Archie Doiron, George Bowie Jr., Tom Gerro, Francis Brown, Gerald Bowie and Joe MacLean. Honorary pallbearers were Tammy Cameron, Joan Furlong, Anita Boyle, Suzette Cameron, Barbie Mason and Sandra Murphy. Born October 4, 1958, in Antigonish, she was the youngest daughter of the late Marie and James Crispo, Monastery. As a young woman, she married Roy Feltmate and soon after welcomed two daughters, Amy then Holly. They lived in Goshen, where friends were welcomed and considered family. Her husband’s work moved them around the province and, in 1992, he was killed in the Westray Mine. She later met George Bowie with whom she had daughter Nikita. She is survived by George Bowie; three daughters, Amy, Holly, Nikita (Morgan); two stepdaughters, Rieneke (Jerry), Angelica (Adam); stepson George (Lindsay); chosen daughter, Keri; 10 grandchildren, Jayde, Christianna, Jack, Andi, Charlie, Stanley, Shanaye, Kaleb, Isaiah, Aniah; sister, Catherine; two brothers, John (Karen), Robert (Melinda); two sisters-in-law, Beverly Crispo, Isabel Morris; two brothers-in-law, Pierre Jullian, Aloysius Fitzpatrick; many nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy; three brothers, Michael, James, Gregory; five sisters, Viola, Patricia, Theresa, Marilyn, Beverly; two brother-in-laws, Hughie Cotie, John Delorey.
