Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Miss MacAdam died July 14, 2019, in R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish.

Honorary pallbearers were members of L’Arche Antigonish Community.

Born in McArras Brook, she was a daughter of the late John Willie and Katie MacAdam. She was a woman of strong faith.  For 53 years, she made the pilgrimage to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre.  She also recorded the Masses in the chapel at the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home to be televised for the residents there and handed out the bulletins.  She worked in laundry at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital for more than 30 years and also volunteered for many years with L’Arche and felt a part of their community. Before moving into the R.K, Mary lived happily for many years at the JJ Carroll House, where she had many friends.  She was always very appreciative of her family and friends.  She had a great sense of humour and enjoyed her rides down Route 245.

She is survived by the children of Carroll and Ella McVicar and Angus Dan and Catherine MacDonald.

Memorial donations may be made to L’Arche Antigonish.
