Mary ‘Sylvia’ Fillis
Funeral service for the late Mary ‘Sylvia’ Fillis, 71, Dartmouth/L’Ardoise, was held March 9 in Holy Guardian Angels Church, L’Ardoise.
Mrs. Fillis died March 3, 2019 at home.
Born May 23, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Marie Martell. She worked in restaurants as a waitress and went on to be a supervisor. She was also employed as a caregiver, a job she loved to do. She enjoyed parties and making new friends.
She is survived by four sons, Wayne (JoAnne), George (Charmaine), Sammy, Troy; daughter, Eileen; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth (Pam), Wilfred (Anita); sister, Rose Marie.
She was predeceased by brother, Joseph; sister, Anne.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
