Murdoch Alexander MacKinnon

Funeral service for the late Murdoch Alexander MacKinnon, 70, Nevada Valley, Inverness County, was held December 20 in Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh, with Reverend Alicia Cox officiating. Burial was in Stewartdale Cemetery. Mr. MacKinnon died December 14, 2018, at home. Born March 9, 1948, Murdoch was the second of four children of the late Alexander and Mary (Haines) MacKinnon. He often talked of happy and loving memories of his childhood. He was retired, but had been employed for many years in the office of Zutphen Contractors. He is survived by sister, Mary Catherine (Wesley) Gillis; brother-in-law, Corry van den Heuvel; two nieces, Sandria (Brad) van den Heuvel, Krystal (Chase) van den Heuvel; nephew, Alex (Carly) van den Heuvel; two grandnieces, Charley, Taylor; grandnephew, Dagen. He was predeceased by brother, John; sister, Shirlene van den Heuvel (MacKinnon). Memorial donations may be made to Stewart United Church or to Stewartdale Cemetery.
