MURRAY JEROME HORNE
Funeral service for the late Murray Jerome Horne, 73, Little Dover, Guysborough County, was held December 11 in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover, with Father Jonathan Nnajifor officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Horne died December 4, 2019, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Little Dover, he was the son of Margaret (Haines) Horne and the late Isaac Horne. He was a fisherman in his younger years and worked at the Canso Fish Plant until health reasons wouldn’t allow him to continue. He enjoyed hanging around the wharf talking to friends, boating, hunting, being around the yard in the wood pile and being around family and friends.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Wanda (Robert) Kavanaugh, Antigonish; step-daughter, Cathy (Fawn), Enfield; three grandchildren, Jordan, Benjamin, Kayla; two brothers, Winslow (Beatrice), Little Dover; Emery (Donna), Beaver Bank; many nieces and nephews; cousin, Wayne Smith; best friend, Roger George.
He was predeceased by brother, Brantford; common-law spouse, Edna Rhynold.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Martha’s Palliative Care Unit or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
