MYRNA RUSSELL

Funeral service for the late Myrna LaClare Russell 81, Havre Boucher, formerly of Port Hastings, was held July 6 in Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury, with Reverend Maggie Plant officiating. Burial was in St. David’s Cemetery, Port Hastings. Mrs. Russell died July 1, 2019, in St Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. She was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Marjorie Kenney, Sheet Harbour. She enjoyed her younger years, where she worked at her family owned fish and chip shop. She worked at the Voyager Restaurant in Port Hasting for years, even though the restaurant changed hands a few times, she was always a fixture in the kitchen. She enjoyed sitting on her deck in the summer looking out at the ocean and her yard. She is survived by three children, Joy MacLean (Dougie), Fort McMurray, Alberta; Eric Russell (Jeanette), Westville; Denise MacNeil (Donald), Fort McMurray; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Deanna, Texas; Sharon, Victoria; two brothers, Ronnie, Ontario; Darrell, Dartmouth; best friend and neighbour, Barb Greene; friend, Parker Boudreau. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth Russell; daughter, Angela Russell; sister, Ada Hawes.
