Funeral service for the late Patricia Ann ‘Patsy’ MacDonald, 68, Soapstone Mines, Inverness County, was held November 8 in Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh, with Reverend Alicia Cox officiating. Burial was in Stewartdale Cemetery. Mrs. Mac Donald died November 2, 2018, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Born June 26, 1950, in Truro, she was the second oldest daughter of the late Margaret ‘Peggy’ (Nock) and Samuel Pearo. She was a faithful and involved member of the Stewart United Church. She was a lifetime member of the MacLean UCW and a dedicated community volunteer. Over the years, she worked at Dino’s, Texaco, Trailsmen, did housecleaning with her baby sister, looked after her aunt and uncle, Peter and Florrie Ferguson and was secretary and business partner of TEREC Ltd. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donald; two daughters, Wanda (Wayne) Chandler, Melanie (Warren) Hart; five grandchildren, Ethan and Evan Chandler, Taylor (Anne), Rhylee and Charlize Hart; five sisters, Shirley (Frankie) Chandler, Diane Rouse, Wilma (Ross) Matheson, Margie Ellis, Melly (Kennie) Ferguson; two brothers, John Robert (Sylvia) Pearo, Sheldon Pearo; five in-laws, Linda Pearo, Barry Campbell, Sadie (Johnny) Matthews, Jean (Winston) Nock, Kennie (Christel) Mac Donald; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by brother, Samuel Pearo; sister, Elaine Campbell; mother and father-in-law, Jennie and Donald J. Mac Donald; five in-laws, Gordon Rouse, Gary Ellis, Sharon Pearo, Wayne and Glenda Mac Donald. Memorial donations may be made to the Central Inverness Palliative Care or the Stewartdale Cemetery.
