Pearl May Bond

Funeral service for the late Pearl May Bond, 93, The Tickle, Canso, was held February 27 in Canso United Baptist Church with Reverend David Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Fourth Hill Cemetery at a later date. Mrs. Bond died February 23, 2019, at home. Born February 7, 1926, in Canso, she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Hilda (Greencorn) Roberts. She was a respected member of the Tickle community, enjoyed cooking baking, knitting and quilting. Her home had a special place for her family, friends and neighbours. She is survived by daughter, Mary (Bud) Newell; son, Howard (Velma); son-in-law, Dave Parker; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five great- great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward; two daughters, Kathy (Mike) Newell, Rosie Parker; son, Jim; two grandchildren, Harold, Pearl; six sisters, Margaret, Mary, Hazel, Rose, Florence, Ollie; six brothers, Jim, Ted, Tom, Harvey, Ed, Wallace.
