Funeral service for the late Perley Hugh MacKinnon, 44, Port Hastings, was held June 28 in St. David’s United Church, Port Hastings, with Nan Corrigan, DM officiating. Burial was in St. David’s Cemetery, Port Hastings. Mr. MacKinnon died June 22, 2018, at home. Born May 19, 1974, in Antigonish, he was a son of Perley and Marie (MacRae) MacKinnon, Port Hastings. He was a lifelong resident of Port Hastings. He studied electrical construction at NSCC and was a graduate of SAERC, both in Port Hawkesbury. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Bobby (Michelle Higgins), Halifax; Walter (Teri) MacKinnon, Moncton; two sisters, Wilena (Brian Wood), Aulds Cove; Traci (Dan MacIsaac), Port Hawkesbury; 13 nieces and nephews, Carter and Avery MacKinnon; Robert, Nicole, Chelsea and TJ Tobin and Kaitlyn MacKinnon; Jonathan (Brianne) Bonaparte, Colton (Jade Webb) and Cody (Teanna Bouchie) Wood; Clint, Blake and Reice Snook, many uncles, aunts and cousins in the MacKinnon, MacRae and King families. He was predeceased by grandparents, Allan Charlie and Christie MacKinnon, Sadie and Bobby King.
