PERRY DEAN CARRIGAN

Funeral service for the late Perry Dean Carrigan, 48, was held December 2 in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury with Father Conrad Edwards officiating.     

Mr. Carrigan died November 27, 2019, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital.     

Born January 28, 1971, in Antigonish, he was the son of Doris and Ansel ‘Sonnie’ Carrigan, Port Hastings. He battled cancer for 7 ½ years and was determined to keep fighting to watch his daughter Jessica receive her BSC nursing degree. He enjoyed snowmobiling and was a member of Cape Clear Snowmobile Club. Prior to his illness, he enjoyed snowmobile racing and sported many trophies over the years, always with an Arctic Cat. He was an employee of Eastlink for 27 years.     

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Jessica (Jason); three siblings, Dawn (Rodney), Ottawa; Roger, Creignish Rear; Dale (Sherry), Stellarton; two nephews, Evan (Amanda), Tyler (Jillian); three nieces, Amber, Chelsea, Ciarra; grandnephew, Caden; grandniece, Rose; many extended family members, which including in-laws, Paula (Alex), Gerard (Terri), Mary (Shawn), Malcolm, Donald (Tanya); nephew, Brennan; niece, Brooke.     

Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
