PRISCILLA ANN RUST

Funeral service for the late Priscilla Ann Rust, 92, was held June 28 in St. Peter’s Church, Tracadie, with Father John Barry officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Rust died June 25, 2019, in High-Crest Home, Sherbrooke. Readers at the funeral Mass were Natasha MacDougall and Britney Carrigan. Altar servers were Donnie Pitts, Myles Somers and Bernie DeCoste. Music was provided by Ty Wallace. Active pallbearers were John Rose, Matthew McNeil, Ben Rose, Gary DeCoste, Kristian MacNeil and Donnie Mattie. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Mattie, Mary Mattie, Theresa Morrison, Lila Beshong and Arlene Pettipas. Born in Tracadie, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Joseph and Sophie (Benoit) Myette. She was a homemaker and an excellent cook, who prided herself in a neat, clean home. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, especially socks. She loved get-togethers with friends, especially for bingo or a game of cards. She is survived by three daughters, Linda (Keith) Rose, Berwick; Paula (Wayne) Fraser, Antigonish; Cathy (Monty) MacDougall, Stellarton; son, Terry (Jeannie), Tracadie; 10 grandchildren, John, Lisa, Ben, Kristian, Erin, Matthew, Natasha, Britney, Sheldon, Sophia; nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold; two daughters, Karen, Rachel; four sisters, Ethel, Cecelia, Eldora ‘Elizabeth’, Eileen; brother, Joe.
