Roderick Albert ‘Rock’n Roddy’ Boudreau, 79, L’Ardoise, Richmond County, died February 14, 2019, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Albert James and Florence Marie (Sampson) Boudreau. He worked for the City of Halifax with 24 years of service. He was a drummer and vocalist with Starlights, The Nova Tones and The Shaken Trio. As well, he was a carpenter and creative artist. He was the inspirational painter for the Queen’s Coronation for the St. Mary’s Boys School in Halifax. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rose Mearie (DeWolfe), L’Ardoise; son, Wayne (Joy) Boudreau, Winnipeg, Manitoba; daughter, Tammie (Robert) Simwamu; six grandchildren, Colten and Brett Boudreau, Jordan, Kenyatta, Isaiah and Noah Simwamu; two great-grandchildren, Kingston, Wynter, Strathmore, Alberta; Tanya Boudreau (Rob Ripley), Upper Tantallon; brother, Joseph (Dorothy) Boudreau, Bridgewater.
