Ronald Joseph MacIsaac

Funeral service for the late Ronald Joseph MacIsaac, 88, Dunmore, Antigonish County, was held January 1 in St. Andrew’s Church, St. Andrews, with Father Andrew Gillies officiating. Burial was in the South River Cemetery. Mr. MacIsaac died December 28, 2018 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Dunmore, he was a son of the late Donald Joseph and Margaret (Boyd) MacIsaac. He worked on the family farm and also spent time working in Ontario in construction. He returned home to work in construction and farming. He enjoyed sports, especially curling. He is survived by this wife of 63 years, June (Young); 10 children, Debbie (Daniel) MacIsaac, Goshen; Joanne (Jody) Cleary, Halifax; Colin (Marie), Montreal; Colleen (Mark) Flanders, Conn.; Boyd (Theresa), Antigonish; Mark (Laura), Antigonish; Donna (Eugene) Teasdale, Antigonish; Donnie (Mairi), Wolfville; Thalia (Kip), Vancouver; Stephen (Todd Brower), Los Angeles; 23 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Regina Jones, Halifax; Theresa MacIsaac, Halifax; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter, Cindy, in infancy; two sisters, Anne Brown, Marcella MacLellan. Memorial donations may be made to St. Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation.
