SARAH MARGARET (MCINNIS) MCNAMARA

Funeral service for the late Sarah Margaret McNamara, 84, Evanston, was held November 25 in St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Lower River Inhabitants, with Father Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Whiteside.

Mrs. McNamara died November 20, 2019, in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home.

Born June 10, 1935, in Port Hawkesbury, she was a daughter of the late Margaret Anne Ryan and Hugh Angus MacInnis. She was akind and gentle soul who made an impact on everyone who knew her. Her faith in God and love for her family was unconditional.

She is survived by four sons, Hughie (Rose Marie), Paul (Gloria), Robert, Francis (David); eight grandchildren, Debbie, Alicia, Matthew, Sarah, Meghan, Jared, Tara, Katelyn; 12 great-grandchildren, Brett, Brayden, Aliyah, Jaxson, Rita, Nathan, Emily, Logan, Harrison, Emery, Oliver,Caysen; brother, Sylvester (Edith); two sisters, Nana (Alexander), Mary Anne (William); sister-in-law, Marie Cogswell.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Theodore ‘Ted’ McNamara; grandson, Craig Peter Joseph McNamara; her stepfather, Dougald MacKinnon.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick’s Cemetery Fund or a charity of choice.
