Sharon Elizabeth Macisaac

Funeral service for the late Sharon Elizabeth MacIsaac, 72, was held December 5 in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton, with Father Andrew Gillies officiating, assisted by Deacon Art Riley.  Burial was in St. Ninian Cemetery.

Mrs. MacIsaac died November 30, 2019, in Victoria General Hospital, Halifax.

Readers at the funeral Mass were Shelly Teasdale and Theresa Rogers. Eucharistic ministers were Ambrose Rogers and Ernie Daye. Music was provided by Immaculate Conception Church Choir.

Pallbearers were Raymond Rogers, Allan Rogers, Edward Rogers, Sean Keay, John Dunbar and Donald Gillis.

Born October 15, 1947, in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (MacDonald) Rogers. She devoted her life to her family and was the organizer of the family reunions and caretaker to many. She was a highland dancer, competing and teaching the next generation. She had a long career at CIBC in Antigonish, then Halifax and Dartmouth.

She is survived by son, Mark (Carissa), Calgary; Jennifer, Truro; two granddaughters, Cassie MacIsaac-Power, Truro; Isabella Villaneuva MacIsaac, Calgary; five brothers, Ambrose (Madeline), Ronald (Cathy), both of Antigonish; Jerome (Mary), New Hampshire; Reggie (Jessie) Daye, Craigmore; Ernie (Harriet) Daye, Antigonish; two sisters, Bernice Keay, Antigonish; Pauline (Jim) McCloskey, London, Ontario; many nieces, nephews and godchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh MacIsaac; four brothers, Edward, Allan Hughie, Steven, Philip; three sisters, Sister Rosemary, CSM; Isabelle, Helen.
