SHIRLEY ANN CAVANAGH – LERUE

Funeral service for the late Shirley Ann Cavanagh – Lerue, 77, Louisdale, was held November 15 in St. Louis Parish Church with Father Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Burial was in St Hyacinth Cemetery, D’Escousse.     

Mrs. Cavanagh - LeRue died November 10, 2019, in the QEII Health Science Center in Halifax.     

Born July 12, 1942, in Louisdale, she was the daughter of the late Edward (Ned) & Eva Mae (Marchand) Samson. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing cards, going to dances and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the CWL and Louisdale Seniors Club.     

She is survived by two sons, Warren (Donna), Martinique; Jim (Wendy), Port Hastings; three grandchildren, Jordan, Travis, Matthew; sister, Eileen, Halifax; two brothers, Eddie (Marie), Martinique; David (Colleen), Halifax; nieces, nephews and step-children.     

She was predeceased by her first husband, Charlie; second husband, Gordon; brother, Alfie; brother-in-law, Donald Wile.     

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
