STELLA MARGARET FOUGERE

Funeral service for the late Stella Margaret Fougere, 92, formerly of Havre Boucher, Antigonish County, was held November 26 in St. Paul’s Church, Havre Boucher, with Father Allan MacPhie officiating.  Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Fougere died November 23, 2019, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

Readers at the funeral Mass were Amber Rehill and Matthew Rehill. Brandon Rehill presented the offertory gifts. Music was provided by St. Paul’s Church Choir.

Pallbearers were Brandon Rehill, Matthew Rehill, Amber Rehill, Henry Townsend, Robert Rehill and Eli Chen.

Born October 11, 1927, in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Nathaniel and Evelyn Pettipas. She was an avid bingo player, a wonderful baker and proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris (Robert) Rehill, Thorburn; three grandchildren, Brandon (Eli), Dartmouth; Amber (Henry), Cole Harbour; Matthew (Kayla), Greenhill; two great-grandchildren, Edison, Lochlan.

She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley; grandson, Jeremy; brother, Billy.

Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital.
