Stella May Brushett

Funeral service for the late Stella May Brushett, 89, Sherbrooke, formerly of Port Hillford, Guysborough County, was held April 5 in St. John’s United Church, Sherbrooke, with Reverend Derek Elsworth officiating. Burial was in Cherry Hill Cemetery, Port Hillford. Mrs. Brushett died March 31, 2019, in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke. Born in Norman’s Cove, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Leander and Eliza (Stockley) Peach. She moved, with her husband, to Port Hillford in 1946. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, flowers and socializing. She is survived by two sisters, Mondella (Ross) Conrad, Barbara (Geoff) Hill; one niece; six nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest; daughter, Mary Mondella, in infancy; brother, Charles Peach; two sisters, Margaret ‘Peggy’ (Herbert) Squires, Leah Peach.
