Sylvia (Sanderson) Mizgala
Funeral service for the late Sylvia (Sanderson) Mizgala, 78, Gatineau, Quebec, was held November 2 in Saint Mark the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Gatineau.
Mrs. Mizgala died October 21, 2018, in La Maison Mathieu-Froment-Savoie, palliative care home in Gatineau, Quebec.
She and her husband, Stan Mizgala, lived in Cross Roads Ohio, Antigonish County, for 17 years. During this time, they were active members of St. Patrick’s Church in Lochaber and she was a most welcomed addition to the church choir. She had an inherent love of family, faith, nature, art and her many canine companions. Throughout her years, she showed great compassion for people, not only through her words and prayer, but also through her actions.
She is survived by her husband, Stan; daughter, Johanna; grandson, Nico; as well as extended family, including her sister-in-law, Gertrude Sanderson; nephew; Brendan Sanderson, both of Antigonish; close friend, Cindy McPherson.
Memorial donations may be made to the Antigonish Food Bank.
