Thomas Stanley MacLean, 80, The Points, Richmond County, died December 27, 2018, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Glace Bay he was a son of the late George Andre ‘Skip’ and Emma Maude ‘Toots’ MacLean. He was employed as a delivery driver with Mcfadgen Bakery for many years. He later retired as a driver with Canada Post, driving the Port Hawkesbury to Baddeck route for many years. A collector of many things, he was most content at home in The Points, driving his tractor on the property. He will be missed by his dog Princess. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, the former Linda Malcolm; daughter, Darlene Budden, Port Hawkesbury; son, Joseph, Maui Hawaii; two grandchildren, Shannon (Stephanie) Covington, Port Hawkesbury; Darlene Pearl Covington, Donkin; four great-grandchildren, Josh, Chandler, James, Ryan; two sisters, Pearl (Eve), Glace Bay; Connie (Kevin) Ford, Charlottetown P.E.I.; two brothers, Phillip (Pauline), Glace Bay; David (Heather), Sydney; sister-in-law, Cecilia MacLean. He was predeceased by his son, Tommy; brothers George Jackie and Joey, sister, Cecilia. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association, Strait Richmond Hospital or a charity of choice.
