WALTER JOSEPH KENNEDY

A celebration of life for the late Walter Joseph Kennedy, 62, Regina, Saskatchewan, formerly of Antigonish, was held December 9 in Speers Funeral Home Chapel, Regina. A second celebration will be held in Antigonish at a later date.

Mr. Kennedy died December 5, 2019. 

Born in Antigonish, he was the only child of the late Joseph and Barbara (Tramble) Kennedy. He served in the Navy for six years, before starting his 25-year career at St. Francis Xavier University.  He then embarked on a new career with the Carpenter’s Union as a scaffolder. This work brought him to Regina, where he became a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 1985.

 He is survived by his partner, Linda; three children, Ashley (Chris), Calgary, Alberta; Barbara, Michael, both of Antigonish; grandson, Jase, Antigonish; his partner’s children, Jordan Brailean (Kimberlee), Regina; Jared Brailean (Chantel), Estevan.
