Wendy Marlene Beaton
Funeral service for the late Wendy Marlene Beaton, 60, Port Hawkesbury, was held August 21 in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury, with Deacon Berkley Guthro officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Beaton died August 16, 2018.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Sally Sue (MacDougall) Hale, Pictou, and the late Robert Everett Hale of Stellarton. She was an avid gardener, a creative and talented crafter who shared her passion of sewing with people of all ages. She enjoyed photography and travelling, whether she was at home or soaking up the sun down south, she always had a camera by her side.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband of 37 years, Doug; two daughters, Jennifer (Randy Shepherd), Cleveland; Katie, Port Hawkesbury; granddaughter, Abigail; sister, Susan (Paul) Landry, Hammonds Plains; niece, Tracey (Lee) DeWolfe, Sackville; nephew, Josh Landry, Calgary; two brothers-in-law, Ronnie (Alice) Beaton, Collie Beaton; sister-in-law, Marlene (Gus) Boyd; four nephews, Ronald, Kevin (Catriona), Chance (Tammy), Woody (Cheryl); grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by father and mother-in-law, Collie and Jessie Beaton; two brothers-in-law, Freeman and John Beaton.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Parish Cemetery Fund, The Lung Association of Nova Scotia or charity of choice.
