WILLIAM 'ROY' WILMOTT
Funeral service for the late William ‘Roy’ Wilmott, 57, was held July 19 in St. James Presbyterian Church, Sherbrooke Village, with Bill Johnston officiating.
Mr. Wilmott died July 13, 2019.
Born in Sherbrooke, he was a son of the late Henry Wilmott and Dorothy (MacIntosh) and step-father, Murray Fleet. He worked in the oil fields of Alberta, off shore Nova Scotia, numerous safety supervising positions, sea-urchin diving, St. Mary’s River Smoke House, and National Resources, Stillwater, until his death. He was a past member of St. Mary’s Dart League and Curling Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, wheeling and boating.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Jerrod) Peterson; Prince Albert, Saskatchewan; three grandchildren, Oliver, Brooklyn, Charlotte; four brothers, Gary (Hertha), Kimball (Gabriela), both of Sherbrooke; Chris (Karen), Antigonish; Dennis, Halifax; three sisters, Michelle, Lori-Anne (Freddy), Tracey (Ryan), all of Grande Prairie, Alberta; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brother, Travis.
