ANTIGONISH, N.S. - The St. F.X. X-Men enjoyed a great weekend of hockey at home, Jan. 25 and 26; defeating the UPEI Panthers and U Sports number one ranked team, the UNB Reds.
On Friday, the X-Men defeated the Panthers 5-1. The following night, they downed the Reds 3-2.
Antigonish native Blade Mann-Dixon starred in goal for the X-Men in both games and was named St.F.X. Male Athlete of the Week for his effort.
Third place St. F.X. is back in action at the Keating Centre Friday (Feb. 1) evening when they host the second place St. Mary's Huskies. Puck-drop is 7 p.m.
