The semifinals are set at the Chronicle Herald IceJam Hockey Tournament in Bedford.

The Halifax McDonald's, Saint John Vitos, Charlottetown Knights and Steele Subaru Major Midgets all advanced to the final four with quarter-final wins on Saturday.​

Halifax 4, Sydney 2: Zach Byard recorded three assists and Morgan Lake, Noah Harrison, Davis Cooper and Isaac Arnold all found the net for the McDonalds.​

Trey Sturge and Drew Baldwin were the Rush scorers.​

Saint John 3, Fredericton 0: Frederic Plourde backstopped the Vitos to the shutout, with Jake Kyle, Jacob Ouellette and Luke Thorne taking care of the scoring.​

​Steele 3, Weeks 2 (OT): Sean Freeman was the hero in overtime and Jacob Christie and Matt Rodriguez were the other scorers in the win.

Lucas Canning and Kiefer Avery answered for Weeks.​

Charlottetown 5, Northern 4 (OT):​ Landon MacDonald netted the game winner and Colby Huggan, Max Chisholm, Simon Hughes and Josh Lund also scored.

Gavin Caissie, Jake Parker, Anthony Parent and Alex Tremblay had the goals for the Moose.

In the bantam quarter-finals:​

Rangers 3, Halifax 2 (OT): Blake Pilgrim notched the winner in extra time after Mitch Wagner and Sam LeDrew scored in regulation.​

Yejune Eom and Mitchell Smith had the goals for the Hawks.​

Moncton 4, St. John’s 1: Justin Gendron, with two, Tristan Godbout and Jack Martin all scored in the third period for the Hawks.​

Luke Power was the scorer for the Hitmen.​

​Bombers 8, Central 7: The teams combined for eight third-period goals in a wild finish.

Ben Wallace (one goal, four assists), Logan Crosby (two goals, two assists) and Cory MacGillivray (two goals, one assist) did the most damage for the Bombers in the victory.

Lane Lochead, Cade Moser and Jayden Duplessis chipped in one goal apiece and Like Coughlin, with two, Brett Arsenault, Landon Perry, Brennan Murphy, Cam Squires and Connor Pierce had the Attack goals.

Eastern 3, Fredericton 2 (SO): ​The Express needed a shootout and goals from Ross Campbell and Jude Campbell to advance to the next round.

Sam MacFarlane and Isaac Jewett responded for the Blues.
