TRURO, N.S. – The Superline Fuels Truro Atom AA Bearcats hockey team won gold at the annual Jordan Boyd memorial tournament in Bedford, site of Rogers Hometown Hockey, last weekend.

The Bearcats went 3-0 in the round-robin, defeating Sackville Orange 7-2, Chebucto Black 5-0 and Antigonish 7-3 to earn the No. 2 seed in the playoff round at the 16-team tournament.

In a quarter-final matchup, the Bearcats skated to an 11-5 victory over Bedford White, before a 6-2 semifinal triumph over Dartmouth Gold. In the championship game, the Bearcats edged Glace Bay 3-2.
