RIVER DENYS, N.S. — Photos over the years of 3rd round NHL draft pick Colten Ellis of River Denys. Ellis was selected by the Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues with the 93rd overall pick, in Saturday’s (June 22) NHL entry draft.
Ellis led both the Nova Major Bantams and Cape Breton West Islanders to Atlantic titles while backstopping the local teams, and added a national one (the Telus Cup) with the Islanders (there is no national bantam tournament).
Ellis has spent his past two seasons with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Rimouski Oceanic.
