ANTIGONISH, N.S. — The St. Croix Angels will be looking to pull off the rare down 3-0 in a best-of-seven series comeback, tomorrow night, when they meet the Pleasantdale Panthers for a do-or-die game seven.
The Angels evened the series last Saturday with a 3-1 victory, after a 3-2 win the night before.
Jeremy Gillis, Cameron Van Oirschot and Ryan Chisholm scored for St. Croix in the game-six victory with Brandon Verge scoring the lone Pleasantdale goal.
The winner of tomorrow night’s contest will move on to the Antigonish Rural League hockey championship versus the Heatherton Warriors, who ousted the County Outlaws in five games.

Pleasantdale’s Garrett Lambke, an assistant coach with the Cape Breton West Major Midget Islanders, leads the playoffs in scoring with 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in only three games.
Four players are tied for second with eight points, including three Heatherton skaters; Josh Robinson, Ricky Bowie and Mike Tobin, as well as Verge from the Panthers.
St. Croix’s Murdock MacLellan is next with seven points.
Puck-drop for tomorrow night’s game seven is 7 p.m., at the Antigonish Arena.
All-star teams
The league announced their first and second team all-stars recently. Making the first team were; goalie Luke Melanson (Heatherton), defence Brian MacDougall (Pleasantdale) and Marc Fougere (Heatherton), and forwards Travis King (Pleasantdale), Alex Bonaparte (Heatherton) and
Verge.
Earning second-team nods were; goalie Blair Van Oirschot (St. Croix), defence Dylan MacLean (Heatherton) and Cory Bennett (St. Croix), and forwards Patrik MacIssac (St. Croix), Josh Landry (Outlaws) and Robinson.
