Town enforcement officers are going door-t0-door Monday morning Feb. 5 asking people to move cars away from Church Street. Town officials are concerned about rising waters from Brierly Brook and have closed Church Street from Main Street to St. Ninian Street.
Ice, coupled with heavy rains, has increased worries after a flash flood caused waste high waters Friday night in the town parking lot off Creighton Lane which stranded more than a dozen vehicles. Town officials spent the day Saturday cleaning out the lot of ice and vehicles.
