Cremation of the late Anne Marie Pelrine, 72, formerly of East Havre Boucher, Antigonish County, has taken place. Burial will be held in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Havre Boucher, at a later date. Ms. Pelrine died May 15, 2018, in R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home. Born in Antigonish, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mildred (Bennett) Pelrine. She spent her childhood living with her parents on North Canso Lighthouse. She was an amateur photographer and was never without a camera since her early teens, taking thousands of photographs of people and places. She enjoyed all seasons and holidays and the shore behind her house. She enjoyed warm summers on the beach, welcoming visitors, howling winds and the sound of the fog horn. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Joe) MacKenzie, Pomquet Lake Road; Corrinna MacPherson (Bryce), Slave Lake, Alberta; three sons, Stephen MacPherson, Slave Lake; Daniel MacPherson, East Havre Boucher; Brian MacPherson, Slave Lake; seven grandchildren, Eden and Joseph MacKenzie; Emily, Hannah and Ben MacPherson; Alex and Lacey Hayes; two step-granddaughters, Karen and Megan MacKenzie; great-granddaughter, Rowan McEachern; godchild, Paulette Cameron. She was predeceased by the father of her children, Sandy MacPherson. Memorial donations may be made to the MS Society or the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home Foundation.
